After a hiatus that lasted way too long, Hozier has returned with new EP, “Nina Cried Power.” The four-track EP features a side of Hozier that fans haven’t seen before; while his first album centered more around emotional themes, “Nina Cried Power” is a potent return from the four years away from the limelight.
The EP is a proclamation towards his love for rock and roll and standing your ground. It deals with relevant themes that have to do with the Civil Rights Movement and “crediting the legacy of protest.”
Though the EP is just a small taste of what is yet to come, “Nina Cried Power” on its own is truly a masterpiece and Hozier’s long-awaited affirmation towards our ever-changing world.
