How to Spend a Day Off in the City

Whether it’s school, work, or simply hobbies keeping our days full of exhausting tasks, we all look forward to our days off. We must embrace these days off and take advantage of the little down time we get, or later regret letting them pass us by.

I, for one, love embracing the city life Los Angeles has given me. The city always gives me something to do when I have nothing to do!

Go to the Park

Parks are the most beautiful and relaxing places in a big city. You can go for a picnic, some place to be alone with your thoughts, get some writing done, play some sports or even feed the ducks (it’s quite entertaining).

Go to a Coffee Shop

Coffee shops besides the typical Starbucks are everywhere nowadays. Sometimes it’s good to go to small shops to support them as well as branch out your coffee taste buds. When you have a day off, take the time to get some coffee, read a book, and listen to some good music.

Go Shopping (treat yourself)

Shopping always takes so much time in your life (good and bad). If you have a tight budget you can just window shop or go to a much cheaper store, but shopping is always something to keep you busy.

Hang Out with Your Friends

Bowling, movies, game nights, museums–there are so many cheap and fun things to do around the big city. I personally thing bowling is underrated; its a fun, friendly competition, and to spice things up you can give a reward to the winner.

Always keep your mind open to different activities. Trying new things is the best option because you’ll never know if you don’t try!
