How To Get In The Spirit For Spooky Season

Spooky season is among us, and I hope you all are as excited as I am! As the weather starts to cool down and the leaves begin to change, spooky-season lovers are getting prepared for fall activities and Halloween. We still have a couple of weeks until Halloween, but until then, there are still so many ways that we can enjoy spooky season! Here are some things that you can do this month to get you into the spirit of Halloween:

1. Have A Movie Marathon

There is an abundance of Halloween and horror movies out there to binge-watch alone or with friends. Every year, I like to watch my favorite spooky movies with friends, and it’s a great time. This can even turn into a tradition! If you aren’t sure what movies to watch, some of my favorites are Donnie Darko (2001), Corpse Bride (2005), Caroline (2009), and Spirited Away (2002).

2. Go To A Pumpkin Patch

Is it really October if we aren’t collectively posting pictures at Pumpkin patches? Pumpkin patches aren’t just cool for aesthetic purposes, but picking out pumpkins can be a lot of fun. You can also carve the pumpkin you pick afterward if you’re not sure what to do with it.

3. Buy Spooky Clothes

Going shopping for spooky clothes is a great way to get in the spirit of spooky season. If you know you probably won’t wear the clothes out, buying spooky pajamas is a good alternative!

4. Visit Abandoned Buildings

I’ll be honest, I’ve visited one abandoned building before, and I was too much of a scaredy-cat to enjoy it. If you enjoy the thrill of eerie vibes and ghost hunting, exploring abandoned places would be right up your alley. Just make sure you don’t do this activity alone for safety purposes!

5. Look At Halloween Decorations

As it starts to get closer to Halloween, driving through different neighborhoods and checking out their decorations is always a blast. You can bring friends and get snacks to make the drive more fun!
