Being stuck at home during this crazy time can definitely be annoying and stressful, but there are ways to keep yourself relaxed while having fun. All of a sudden, our lives have been up-winded and it can be a struggle coping, but there are activities that can help us. I’m going to share some things that I’ve been doing to help me relax and pass the time. Hopefully you will try them out as well!

As a student, trying to maintain online classes and lectures during such a chaotic time can be a rather difficult task. Something that you can do to relax is yoga! Not only is it calming, but it also helps you stay active while at home. All you need is some floor space, or you can even do it in your backyard while catching some sun rays. There are YouTube videos that can teach you if you’re new at this. This can be a fun new skill for you to master and can teach your friends via FaceTime!

One of my favorite hobbies is stargazing. This can be calming and peaceful. Just step outside and look up at the sky at night. Maybe you’ll spot a shooting star! This also allows you to get out of your house and get some fresh air outdoors. There’s a cool app, called SkyView, that you can put up to the sky and it identifies constellations! This can be a fun way to learn the constellations and you can impress your friends and family with this new knowledge. I love stargazing because I find it extremely peaceful and it’s also just a beautiful sight.

Staying home can be hard but we’re all in this together! Try out these activities if you want to calm your nerves or even if you’re just bored.

Have fun & stay safe!
