Fresh off the hype of the World Cup, the first three days of the Premier League have seen some amazing plays by some familiar faces. The season kicked off with a brilliant match between Chelsea and Arsenal, seeing Pedro score off a beautiful cross by Alonso in only the ninth minute and seeing Chelsea stymie an Arsenal comeback to narrowly win 3-2.

The next day, Manchester City soundly beat Huddersfield Town 6-1. Sunday also saw Manchester United sloppily lose to Brighton and Hove Albion 3-2; Romelu Lukaku and Paul Pogba of France’s goals were not enough to compensate for the defensive failures. Many World Cup favorites scored, including Sergio Aguero of Argentina and Gabriel Jesus of Brazil.

Finally, Monday saw Liverpool slide in to defeat Crystal Palace 2-0, with Mohamed Salah of Egypt orchestrating both goals through through-balls and penalty kicks. With Liverpool, Arsenal, and Manchester City scheduled to play this weekend, the 2018 English Premier League is off to a great start.
