Living a healthy lifestyle is doing what works best for your body and self, and also what makes you happy. For me, a healthy lifestyle is a combination of having a good diet, staying active, having good mental health, and maintaining a social life.
Sometimes, we think that being healthy equates to limiting ourselves and sticking to a strict regimen. Yes, it can be about limiting things that are not good for you and it’s great to stick to a plan so you stay healthy and accomplish goals you’ve set for yourself. But, this doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy a treat here and there or skip a workout if you’re not feeling up to it. If you are ever feeling stressed about having to live a healthy lifestyle, you might be forcing yourself a little bit. Maybe consider taking a step back and re-evaluate where you are not feeling too great so you can make changes to how you are living.
It’s all about balance. Letting yourself rest as much as you work towards your goals is important and is also a big part of staying healthy. But regardless of what you do, know that the word healthy is subjective and is all up to how you interpret it.
