Great White: Sink Your Teeth into This

My best friend Maggie and I embarked on a day trip to Venice Beach, California. We’re avid foodies and searched through Yelp for the perfect brunch spot. Our final choice was Great White, a casual neighborhood café focused on fresh and local cuisine. In typical LA fashion, parking was nightmarish. Metered spots near the café were taken and the only option was paying $20 for the day at a nearby lot, which is reasonable if you are planning to walk around the area for a while. The lines at Great White were out the door, but they moved surprisingly quickly! We had ordered and scored a table very easily. This Los Angeles gem has open walls so even if you’re not seated on the patio, you feel as if you’re dining outside. The electric buzz of Venice whips by as you eat.

I ordered one of the most popular and aesthetically pleasing items on the menu, the Blue Smoothie Bowl. This features banana, pineapple, passionfruit, e3 live blue algae, chia, seasonal fruit, and house made granola. The dish screams “millennial in Los Angeles”. Maggie opted for the savory Scramble Bowl. Both picks were delicious! If you are in Venice, I recommend this spot for the chill vibes and open air seating. Great White attracts the stereotypical LA resident  which makes people watching entertaining. Plan ahead for parking, pop over on a less crowded week day, and enjoy your trendy LA brunch!
