Getting Ready for the Fall Season

Halloween is one of my favorite holidays. I love the weather and vibes that come with the fall season, and as someone who has always loved haunted houses, Halloween is the perfect combination. There are a few tips I have to make this year’s spooky season the best one yet.

The biggest way I get into the Halloween spirit is through decorating my room. Trader Joe’s sells mini pumpkins, and I love to get a few to decorate my room. Additionally, I love buying these pumpkins for my friends. Sometimes, my friends and I will get together and draw faces on our mini pumpkins with sharpies, then decorate them with stickers and glitter. I also love going to the Dollar Store to pick up a few cheap Halloween decorations, such as witch hats and pumpkin wreaths to display around my room. Now that I am living in a college apartment, my roommates and I have decided to go Halloween shopping together to decorate the kitchen and living room. Another great accessory to add to your room to give it a fall feel is candles. I love lighting fall-scented candles, such as cinnamon and pumpkin spice, and inhaling the beautiful aroma as I do homework in my room.

I also recommend watching any movies or reading any books that get you into the fall mood. For me, it is Harry Potter. Reading Harry Potter always gets me excited for the season. I love curling up in my bed with a fuzzy blanket, and the fall-scented candles lit while reading. While reading Harry Potter, I also bake the Pillsbury Ready to Bake Pumpkin and Ghost sugar cookies. Pillsbury sells these themed cookies for almost every holiday, but the Halloween ones are my favorite.

Lastly, the best way to celebrate the spooky season is to surround yourself with friends and family and have fun. Dress up in crazy costumes, watch movies together, or go to a pumpkin patch. I am so excited for Halloween this year, and I hope you are too.
