Despite the pandemic, there are still ways we can enjoy ourselves safely. One of the things I enjoy the most is food! I’ve been learning how to cook more in the past couple of months, and am starting to enjoy it. But, sometimes I get tired of cooking and want to switch it up. If you’re like me, here are some ways you can get creative with your meals!
Get takeout. It’s important to continue supporting restaurants, especially local businesses, during this time. If you don’t have time to cook or are not feeling like doing it, get some takeout from your favorite restaurant! You can enjoy your meal from the comfort of your own home.
Bring a picnic to the park. I’m sure we’ve all seen really pretty pictures of charcuterie boards all over Instagram, and they’re a great way to enjoy some food while getting some fresh air! Gather up some of your favorite food or make your own charcuterie board and pack them with you to the park to enjoy with your family or at a safe distance with a few friends.
Have a virtual dinner and movie night. Like a lot of people, I’ve been FaceTiming and having Zoom meetings with friends to chat and virtually hang out. I miss doing normal activities with them, and one of the things I love doing the most with my friends is watching movies together. You can use platforms like Scener or the screen share feature on Zoom to enjoy a movie together while eating dinner or munching on some snacks! It won’t be the exact same experience as it would be in person, but it’s the next best thing.
With that being said, I hope you will consider these ideas for your next meal!
