While it’s nice to have a significant other to celebrate Valentine’s Day, it can also be just as special to celebrate it with your friends. Because significant others and family, along with school, work, and personal lives take up most of our time, we often forget about the importance of friendship and maintaining those relationships. If you’re lucky, good friends will be in your life forever. They will comfort you in times of need and give you advice when you want it most.
I encourage you to call a group of friends or someone you consider to be your closest friend. Use this day as an opportunity to hang out with them and catch up. You never know when you can make someone else feel better, and maybe getting that call from you will brighten that person’s day. I hope you have a fun Galentine’s Day!
