A tee-rific way to bond

Looking for a fun outdoor activity that’s fun but also has some competition involved? Visit Camelot Golfland in Anaheim, where they have four different 18-hole mini golf courses themed to oceans, jungles, and international castles. The courses also undergo temporary transformations for the Halloween and winter holidays, making it a fun place to visit any time of the year. Once you’ve had your fill of swinging that club, head on over to their Lazer Tag area, raceway, bumper cars and bumper boats, arcade, and indoor restaurant. General admission costs $14 and is good for one 18-hole round. Tickets can be bought up until an hour before the center closes for the day. While the establishment is open every day of the week from 10 a.m. to 12 a.m., opening and closing times for each of the center’s various activities vary, so be sure to check here for more details.

Crafting some memories

If you and your date are into art or just want a change of scenery, try having your date at the Festival of Arts of Laguna Beach. This year’s festival is running from July 5 to Sept. 1, from 4 p.m. to 11:30 p.m., Mondays to Thursdays, while Fridays to Sundays are from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m. Come for a fine arts show featuring a variety of artists, both emerging and established within the county; or check out the numerous art exhibits that will be open to attendees, including the “All Together Now” Art-To-Go collection and the all-new “Emerging Artists” exhibit. There are also events and concerts where you can purchase wristbands in advance of your arrival. For the fine arts show, general admission tickets cost $7 for students on weekdays and $11 on weekends. Residents of Laguna Beach get free admission. Keep in mind that tickets can only be purchased at the in-person ticket window; digital purchases are not available.
