One of the 6 goals was scored by 19 year-old Kylian Mbappe, making this the first time a teenager scored a goal in the World Cup final since 1958; this alone shows how versatile and talented this France squad was. This team was projected to best the Croatian team, and they lived up to the expectations.
Mbappe has proven to be on a level that not even Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo have ever been on; he has scored in the World Cup final and has a winners medal in his pocket, which Messi and Ronaldo have yet to acquire. But the most amazing feat in this championship run, is how well the entire team of France meshes together, it had seemed to the viewers that this team had played with alongside each other for 10 years.
All in all, France looked like the best team for how well their team was organized. Even though they won this year’s World Cup, Brazil is still projected to be the winner in the 2022 World Cup. Regardless of those odds, France should always be taken seriously as they proved to be a powerhouse in this World Cup.
