Fourth of July is right around the corner and with the various negative headlines surrounding America’s attitudes regarding socio-political issues it’s time that we shed light on other things. Here’s 3 other things to celebrate on the fourth.
1. Many clothing companies including Free People, Urban Outfitters, Macy’s, Barney’s, and ASOS are having 4th of July sales. Take the time to celebrate these deals while your bank account takes a bit of a punch. Don’t wait until the last minute though these deals won’t last long!
2. We are currently in the midst of Paris Couture Week. A time to honor timeless pieces while we imagine that we are runway models. Paris Couture Week is one of two fashion weeks held in the summer. It provides a subtle form of escapism—ogling models while we pretend to be them—and adds a bit comedic relief as we analyze wacky outfits.
3. Kate Spade, the founder of the brand tragically died just a couple of weeks ago. With many public deaths people mourn and people forget. Despite this awful reality it’s necessary that she’s seen as fashion pioneer and icon as opposed to just some celebrity. Her pieces defined ideas of individuality and creativity, a not so hidden message revealed to consumers.
