With everything going on in the world, everyone can use a little help. It is comforting to see some of our favorite fashion brands giving back in order to help those in need or to support the overall cause.
One brand that has been helping the cause to fight against COVID-19 is Prada. Prada is a high-end, designer brand. They make clothes, shoes, and accessories. Prada is one of my favorite brands, so it is encouraging to know that they are in a way helping fight this disease.
Prada is helping finance the Intensive Care Units of three new hospitals in Milan. They have also used their factory in Perugia to produce 110,000 masks and 80,000 medical garments that were delivered to hospitals in Tuscany.
Another fashion brand that has contributed services during this pandemic is Ralph Lauren. Ralph Lauren is an American lifestyle brand. They focus on luxury items, but have some more casual wear as well.
Ralph Lauren pledged $10 million to relief efforts set up for COVID-19. Aside from this generous pledge, they also started production for 250,000 masks and 25,000 isolation gowns.
It is heartening to see everyone come together and help each other in this difficult time. I hope that the camaraderie and generosity continues.
