Fall Fun

It is officially fall! That means there are plenty of fun fall activities and products to enjoy as you take advantage of the spooky season. You can go apple picking, carve pumpkins, decorate your house with a scary amount of cobwebs—whatever tickles your fancy, have fun with it! There are plenty of yummy drinks, desserts, and foods you can make, too. I just discovered one of my new favorite fall activities: making homemade apple cider.

I am someone who has grown up cooking and baking, so if I want a certain food, I first try to make it myself instead of buying it. I hosted a socially-distanced pumpkin carving party this past weekend, and what pumpkin carving party is complete without hot apple cider? Being me, I decided to make it myself, and it was such a good decision. The cider was absolutely delicious, and since it was homemade, I could add as many or as little spices and sweeteners as I wanted!

If you are like me and enjoy making your own foods and drinks, I highly recommend making apple cider. It is the perfect fall drink, and it feels so rewarding when you make it yourself, as with everything else homemade. Just be sure you have plenty of time, because it takes at least 3 hours to make, depending on your recipe. But don’t worry, the payoff is completely worth it.
