Easy Independence Day-Inspired Outfits

Can you believe it’s almost going to be July already? If you’re in the United States, the beginning of July marks Independence Day. Whether or not you’re attending any parties or taking part in the celebrations, there are ways to subtly incorporate that Independence Day spirit into your outfit. Read on to see some of my favorite subtle ways to dress up on the 4th of July!

1. Gingham or Checker Prints

One of my favorite summer prints is gingham. It’s such a fun look, and it pairs with just about everything. For a subtle Independence Day look, try opting for a blue or red gingham, which will pair nicely with a pair of white bottoms, whether that’s a skirt, jeans, or shorts. You can also add a red scarf for a pop of color!

2. Stripes

There’s nothing that embodies Independence Day quite like stripes since it’s reminiscent of the American flag. To keep the look from being too dramatic, keep things simple by wearing just red and white stripes or blue and white stripes.

3. Star Pattern

Aside from gingham and stripes, star-prints are another great alternative for Independence Day! I love how fun the little stars look. The best part–you can wear them even after the 4th of July.

4. A Pop of Red

If patterns and prints aren’t really your thing, you can always opt for just a pop of red to an all-white ensemble. The brightness in the red is sure to be an eyecatcher, but you also won’t feel like you’re too overdressed.
