Crocheting and Creating Stuffed Animals

During this new year, I learned how to crochet for the first time. My aunt—being an expert—taught me all she knew, and I ended up making a cute little pig. Crocheting might be a tedious activity, but it’s satisfying to finish a scarf, blanket, or in my case, a stuffed animal. It’s also very relaxing; with everything going on, it can be very nice to sit down and lose yourself crocheting or knitting.

It can also be a very rewarding activity. For many years my mom would make blankets to donate to orphanages and homeless shelters. It is a great way to give back to the community and support those in need. Now more than ever, we should all be helping those less fortunate and making our communities feel supported and safe.
