This holiday season fast approaches, and with it, a whole slur of Christmas music. While the classic “Deck the Halls” and “Jingle Bells” may be your go-to classics, I’d like to suggest a more subtle and smooth tune that will put you at ease during the stress of the holiday season.
For those from the Bay area and surrounding regions, this Tim Hockenberry classic will be a reminder of home, but even for listeners all over the world, this jazzy feel-good song has a way of bringing up nostalgic feels.
“Christmas by the Bay” has always been one of my favorite Christmas songs, and year after year, it makes me feel at home. Even this year as I spend the Christmas holiday on the Emerald Isle across the world, this song reminds me of ice skating with my family in Union Square, the fog rolling in over the Golden Gate Bridge, and most importantly, a feeling of togetherness.
I highly recommend giving this one a listen. It’s “Christmas by the Bay.”
