There are so many countries with wonderful cuisine that we should all try. One of them is Argentina’s amazing food. Here are a few dishes I recommend you try:

  • Empanadas: these are half-circle-filled pastries that can be savory or sweet. You can choose anything from beef, chicken, corn, and spinach. A jam-filled empanada with powdered sugar on top makes for a great sweet option.
  • Asado: this meal can feed a big group of people and is usually prepared for large gatherings (holidays, birthdays, weddings, etc.). It is the heart of Argentinian cuisine, a feast filled with barbecued meats and vegetables along with other side dishes (bread, salad, potato salad, etc.). Don’t forget the chimichurri sauce for the steak that’s made with olive oil and herbs!
  • Yerba Mate: this is a classic drink that families and friends drink both in a social setting and as a substitute for coffee or tea in the morning and evenings. It’s tea drunk in a small cup with a straw. Most Argentinians will always have a thermos of water and mate handy for any occasion.

Like I mentioned above, the world is filled with amazing food. I hope this article provided you with some new information on the amazing Argentinian food. I hope you enjoy it!
