“And by the way, I’m going out tonight”

After fighting what some may call “The Great War” on Ticketmaster, Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour has kicked off, and fans are putting their all into their outfits. From bedazzling bodysuits that match the essence of Swift’s “Bejeweled” music video to dressing as incredibly niche references like the key lime green dog from “The Last Great American Dynasty,” people are putting in the kind of effort we would expect to see from Met Gala attendees.

There is definitely pressure for fans to dress as creatively and sparkly as they can, considering how large the event is. This is Swift’s first tour in five years–Lover Fest was canceled due to COVID-19–and the process of getting tickets was brutal. Fans waited in six-hour-long queues, and that was if they were lucky enough to get a presale code for Ticketmaster. Ticket prices went into the thousands, so people are going all out. Swift is performing music from every album/era of her career, so to some fans, it feels like a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Eras Tour outfits can be found under a number of TikTok sounds, the most popular being an AI-generated quote from Swift leading into her song “Karma.” Other popular sounds for these fit transitions are a sped-up version of “The Story Of Us,” sped-up “Fearless,” and “Bejeweled.” If you find yourself needing some inspiration for your show, check out those sounds to find fits like these:

Rafael Cisneros’s outfit is bejeweled from top to bottom. Both the bodysuit and boots match the iconic look from the music video, and the rhinestone tights, gloves, and necklace add that extra shimmer. The makeup pulls the look together and captures the glitz and glam of the song; a diamond’s gotta shine!

Ben Robinson and Tabi Higgins take on Swift’s song “Miss Americana & The Heartbreak Prince,” with Robinson donning a red blazer covered in thematic pins and a black broken heart to be the Heartbreak Prince. Higgins wears red, white, and blue and an assortment of stars, as well as a sash reading “Miss Americana” to represent her part of the title.

Kayla Esparza, Alyssa Evans, and Hannah Marie Rose are dressed as the band members of HAIM in the “Bejeweled” music video. The music video is a rendition of a Cinderella story, where the HAIM sisters are the evil stepsisters. These three ladies committed to the look and executed it beautifully, from the details of the hair all the way to the fans.
