$0 Ways to Show Love

I have many amazing friends, and I definitely have an incredible family, and that’s why I love to do small things to show them my love and appreciation for them. If there’s one thing I’ve learned, it’s that you don’t have to spend a single penny to show your love to your loved ones.

These are some of the things that I like to do to show my friends and family love:

Write notes – I like to write a short note on a piece of paper or a sticky note for my friends and family. I also have family who live in different countries, so I like to send them postcards and small gifts.

Baking – My family and friends have major sweet tooths, so I like to bake for them. Somedays, I will bake desserts for my family to have throughout the day. Other days, I will bake a dessert for friends and extended family, wrap it with a small note, and bring it to them.

Doing Chores – My mom is known for doing all the household chores for us, so a couple of times throughout the week, I like to do all of the chores for her so that she can have a rest. It isn’t much, but it makes me happy and relieved to see her resting and taking a break. After all, she’s so hard-working, and I love her!

Physical Affection – Every time I see my friends and extended family, I give them a hug. My brother and I show affection to each other by giving each other a hug or a fist bump every night. I also never forget to say “I love you” to my family.

Just like the examples above, showing love doesn’t have to be costly. In fact, all of my ways to show love cost 0 cents. An occasional gift is nice, but you can show bits of love and gratitude in your day-to-day life. A little bit of time, effort, and love is all you need!
